I Will Let You Dwell in My Heart For All Time

A casual essay:

Dear brothers and sisters, do you like these songs of praise to God

I Will Let You Dwell in My Heart For All Time

You accompany me
through four seasons.
Looking at Your lonely face,
waves of sorrow well up in my heart.
I’ve never soothed Your sadness
and never cared for Your loneliness;
facing Your earnest words
time and again,
I’m so stubborn.
Always grieve Your heart
and always let You down;
only after being chastened
do I realize a bit.
Though I’m by Your side,
can’t carry burden for You.
I have no sense,
not understanding Your difficulties. Continue reading

God’s Disposition Is Righteousness and, Even More, Love

Fang Xin, Beijing

August 15, 2012

Ever since 2007, when I accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days, although I have appeared on the surface to be very busy fulfilling my duties, I have not given my heart to God, and have often felt bound to the point of suffocation by trifling family issues. Every time I think about the fact that my daughter is already thirty years old, yet still hasn’t found a suitable partner, I complain to God; my son only cares about having a good time, and despite not earning any money, he spends profligately, so I complain; and my own old spouse goes to work, but his foreman doesn’t pay him—and I complain about this as well…. I complain left and right, and often misunderstand God. It seems as though God has been overly unfair to me. As a result, I have been living in darkness and suffering. However, I have not known that I should seek God, and have been profoundly ignorant of how dangerous my state is. I have merely struggled helplessly amidst my suffering. Nevertheless, God knows my state inside out. He uses unique methods to call out to me and save me, causing me to awaken from dream and escape Satan’s harm and affliction.gospel,God’s love, word of God,the last days,Christ Continue reading

The Word of God | “You Ought to Live for the Truth Since You Believe in God”

Almighty God says, “believing in God is not so simple as man may say. As God sees it, if you only have knowledge but do not have His word as life; if you are limited only to your own knowledge but cannot practice the truth or live out the word of God, then this is proof still that you have no heart of love for God, and shows that your heart belongs not to God. Coming to know God by believing in Him; this is the final goal and that which man shall seek. You must devote effort to living out the words of God so that they may be realized in your practice. If you have only doctrinal knowledge, then your faith in God will come to naught. Only if you then also practice and live out His word can your faith be considered complete and in accord with God’s will. “

Great Masterstrokes for Overcoming Temptations in Spiritual Warfare

Jingxing, South Korea

  Brothers and sisters,

I wish you peace in the Lord! Not infrequently, all sorts of spiritual warfare will occur throughout our time of faith in and following God. There are temptations regarding money, status and name, and temptations between men and women, as well as slander by unbelievers, obstruction and suppression from loved ones, as well as being hunted down and persecuted by a satanic regime. Sometimes completely unexpected calamities befall us. The Bible says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). God’s words say: “On earth, all manner of evil spirits are endlessly on the prowl for a place to rest, are ceaselessly searching for the corpses of men to eat up” (“The Tenth Utterance” of God’s Utterances to the Entire Universe in The Word Appears in the Flesh). There isn’t a single moment that Satan is not by our side, racking its brains to use any person, event, or thing to tempt, test, and persecute us, trying to get us to sink into evil, into disaster and to distance ourselves from God, to betray Him so that in the end we may be swallowed whole by it. If we lack the truth, we also lack discernment; if we cannot clearly see spiritual warfare, if we cannot remain firm in God’s words, we will be likely to go after fleshly benefits and preferences, falling into Satan’s web and losing our testimony. As Christians, learning how to recognize Satan’s trickery is critical. So what can we do to enable ourselves to see through Satan’s trickery in the midst of spiritual warfare and stand witness for God? I’d like to share some fellowship with you on three paths of practice for triumphing over Satan’s temptations.

First, when faced with Satan’s temptation, you must pray to God and seek the truth more to understand God’s will and not fall prey to Satan’s tricks.

gospel,God’s love, word of God,the last days,Christ Satan is evil and savage to the greatest degree. All its temptations of people exploit their delicate points, their critical weaknesses. It starts wherever someone is most fragile, just like tempting Eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It’s always at a time like that that people are most likely to reveal what is natural, to follow personal interests and preferences in their actions—they are very prone to being hit by Satan’s tricks. This is why, when we encounter spiritual warfare, we must first quiet ourselves before God, pray, seek His will and requirements, what we must do to bear witness and satisfy God, and what damage and consequences will be brought about if we satisfy the flesh. Once we have understood the truth, we will naturally be able to break through Satan’s trickery and overcome the temptation. Just as the Lord Jesus said: “And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive” (Matthew 21:22). God’s words also say: “After God created mankind and gave them spirits, He enjoined them that if they didn’t call out to God, then they would not be able to connect with His Spirit and thus the ‘satellite television’ from heaven would not be received on earth. When God is no longer in people’s spirits there is an empty seat left open for other things, and that’s how Satan seizes the opportunity to get in. When people contact God with their hearts, Satan immediately goes into a panic and rushes to escape. Through mankind’s cries God gives them what they need, but He does not ‘reside’ within them at first. He just constantly gives them aid because of their cries and people gain hardiness from that internal strength so that Satan dare not come here to ‘play’ at its will. This way, if people constantly connect with God’s Spirit, Satan dare not come to disrupt” (“Interpretation of the Seventeenth Utterance” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Continue reading

Why Is True Love So Hard to Find on Earth

Songs of praise to GodWhy Is True Love So Hard to Find on Earth

I’ve been longing to see You, God.
I don’t want to be apart
from You anymore.
You are my sovereign Creator,
but now we cannot always be together.
You endure great shame
to save corrupt man.
Who could understand?
You’ve journeyed on a road
of blood and tears,
enduring suffering for months and years.
You’ve brought down all Your love to us.
You share in the hardships of people,
yet bear solitude and abandonment.
Who could care for Your heart?
Each call and each day of expectation.
You give all You have
to gain man’s love.
Yet no one can truly bring You comfort.
Why is true love so hard
to find on earth? Continue reading
